Gent is internationally renowned for its rich and vibrant music scene, so seemed the most logical place for GuitarGuitar to open it's first store outside of the UK. Having worked closely with GuitarGuitar on an extensive UK shopfit programme, Mindbomb were approached by general manager Frank who shared his vision to transform an expansive 1000m2 space into a new European destination guitar store.
Designed as a spacious haven for guitarists – and being a short hop from major European cities, the perfect excuse for a day trip – the store in Gent houses over one thousand guitars, split across two levels. With bare walls as our canvas, a graphics scheme was designed to compliment the minimalistic, almost gallery-esque nature of the building's interior. The store's grand opening was timed to coincide with Gent's Summer's Jazz Festival.
Gent is GuitarGuitar's seventh store to open, joining Edinburgh, Glasgow, Glasgow Digital, Newcastle, Birmingham and Epsom. The eighth store in London's historic Camden opened in the autumn of 2016, shortly followed by a new dedicated acoustic store in Birmingham.
